How can you place a four-square-meter object under a metallurgical microscope? The solution to this problem is the Cellcheck CIL mobile USB measuring and inspection microscope. The Cellcheck CIL is always supplied with a stable MST stand. This allows for secure placement on flat materials and rollers. The stand’s feet are covered with a silicone-free synthetic material. A clearly marked bronze screw allows the stand’s rolling positioning distance to be adjusted continuously. This ensures the required object distance, particularly at low magnification factors. The included 1600 x 1200 pixel USB 2.0 camera delivers perfect images, comparable to those from high-quality metallurgical microscopes on the market.

Lenses with magnification factors of 2x, 4x, 6x, and 10x are included. The magnification factor based on a 17-inch computer screen can be calculated by multiplying the lens magnification factor by 45. For example, a 10x lens displays the measured point at a magnification of 450x. 15x, 20x, and 30x objectives are available as options. A strong white LED provides centered illumination. The coaxially directed light eliminates all unwanted reflections, which can lead to misinterpretations and incorrect measurements. We also offer IR, green, and red LEDs. The power for the LED illumination is supplied by the USB camera. An additional LED ring light is also included. The nine light-emitting diodes are arranged at an angle of 30° and provide perfect illumination for all applications requiring diffuse light.

KITEC ECO or KITEC PRO provides different measurement and documentation capabilities. Whether the images are to be merely stored or if the image and measurement results are to be documented in the form of Excel or PDF files, the Cellcheck CIL makes your work fast and easy. The software can be installed on as many computers as desired and enables access to the USB camera, allowing the system to be used by multiple employees.

The MST stand can be equipped with roller feet as an option. For example, in the field of solar cell production, such as on thin-film modules where measuring points are located in a line, they can be examined more quickly and conveniently. As an alternative, the MST stand can be supplied with a 5 mm X adjustment. A combination of both options is not possible.

The unit is supplied in a small plastic carrying case, well suited for mobile use in field service.

An additional stand with a 25 x 25 mm cross table and an optional rotary table is available for the Cellcheck CIL to be used as a laboratory system (see Cellcheck CIL-ZX). This stand is very useful when performing depth measurements on small parts. In such applications, the parts can be positioned precisely using the cross table. Additional accessories include two V-blocks, which can be inserted into the rotary table using a pin mounted on the bottom. This allows for applications such as quickly and reliably measuring the depth of scratches on round components. The Cellcheck system is also suitable as a mobile laboratory for measuring polished micrograph sections. In this configuration, the Cellcheck CIL system is supplied in an aluminum case with cutouts for the stand.
